The Book I enjoyed Reading

 There is no aspect of life, which is denied of books. Through reading interesting book not only I adjust my life. But gain pleasure and amusement also. Being an ardent reader I have read a number of good books. Among them 'Swami and friend' is my favorite. I never get tired of reading it.


Swami who is the main character, an ordinary boy of ten - eleven years, student in Grade six standard in Albert mission School. His behaviouarl patterns are quite funny and peculiar.  He feels lazy to go to school. He is innocent but naughty. Swami has so many friends. Some are studious  but some are not. Rajma, the police Superintendent's son becomes his favorite. Swami is small in size but get caught in big troubles. The way he reacts to his multifarious companions, is very interesting. At home he feels lonely. But granny often comforts him. He feels cozy and  snug when granny is there. Good for nothing Mani., shields little Swami in all his troubles.

The Value of Friends

  👭''Friends are the gems'' Of course if they are genuine and sincere. Sometimes they are better than our own family members. It is very difficult to find good friends who are very honest, true and sincere😀😀😀. Friends are extremely necessary to enlighten our lives. It would be so dull if we had no friends. They help you, give you companionship and  make your life meaningful😗😍. You also learn many good things by associating good friends. Sometimes they can  change your whole life. But only if you  get a good friend. ''A friend in need is a friend indeed''😍😘😘😘.

Let,s grow our own food

  Favorable climatic condition and fertiled soil inspire us to make the optimum use of this earth. Being Sri Lanka we're blessed with sufficient  water and sunlight, which are appropriate for some sort of vegetation or crop. 😍😍 Little plants can be grown even in a little space. If we can  grow a couple of chillie plants, a bush of curry leaves ( Rampa) and two or three climbers of luffia and snake gourd for our day to day consumption how fascinating it would be !
